This project seeks to install a sustainable solar power system at St. James’ Anglican Church, Asokoro, to ensure uninterrupted power supply for worship services, outreach programs, and general church operations.
With the frequent power outages in Abuja, the church has faced challenges in powering sound systems, lighting, media equipment, and administrative offices. This initiative will not only support worship but also improve the church’s capacity to serve the community, particularly during night vigils, youth fellowships, and humanitarian outreach programs.
Objectives:
-
Provide reliable, eco-friendly electricity for all church activities.
-
Reduce operating costs spent on diesel and generator maintenance.
-
Support digital evangelism and livestreaming by powering media equipment.
-
Promote environmental stewardship in line with Christian values.
Target Amount: ₦15,000,000
(To cover solar panels, inverter system, batteries, installation, and backup wiring.)
